FREEDIVING COURSES

Join us and learn to freedive! No previous freediving, scuba or snorkeling experience is required.

Freediving is a great way to reinforce your own inner strength. Freediving will give you the opportunity to explore depth not only in nature but also in yourself.

To enroll in a PADI Freediver course you must be at least 12 years old. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with snorkeling, skin diving or freediving is required.

FREEDIVING TRIPS

Jacques Cousteau once referred to the West Coast of BC as one of his favorite places in the world to dive!

Freedive off the coast of Vancouver Island with us. Freedive Northwest is going to Victoria BC in March.  This will be a two day trip.  Day one will be diving Ogden Point and day two will be Willis Point a little further to the north. If you’re not certified, no problem.  We can do your open water portion in Victoria!

If you’re not certified, please sign up for a pool session before the trip.

POOL TRAINING AND COACHING

Already certified and want to continue developing as a freediver? We don’t need the ocean to develop as a freedivers.

Pool Training is fun! And one of the best ways to develop as a freediver. We offer pool sessions and coaching to help move your diving forward.

Coaching sessions and pool sessions for already certified divers are $50 per hour.

Courses

We offer pool only or pool and open water certifications

POOL CERTIFICATION

$300

  • Prerequisite: Swim 200m unassisted, non-stop in a pool setting
  • 1 minute 30 second static breath hold
  • 30m DYNB (Dynamic Bifins)

OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION

$200 (plus pool certification costs)

  • Must complete pool sessions or have a prior pool certification.
  •  Successfully perform a constant weight dive to 10 meters in the pool, which includes demonstrating a buddy rescue.
  • Without prior pool certification the total cost will be the pool certification and open water or $500
